2nd International Symposium on Winter Limnology

The 2nd International Symposium on Winter Limnology was organized in frames of the project. The Symposium brought together specialists from different branches — physicists, ecologiststs, geochemicists, microbiologists, fish biologists — to discuss their newest achievements in the winter limnology during three days in Schloss Liebenberg, which is situated approximately 50 km north from Berlin. On results of the Symposium, two review papers were published in the journal “Aquatic Sciences”. summarizing the current knowledge on ice-covered lakes:
